Jean Leon Cabernet Sauv. Reserve Miguel Torres

Cabernet Sauvignon from the Penedès region — that was Jean Leon's idea, long before the region was known for it. The Reserva carries this heritage in the bottle: a structured red wine with backbone and aging potential.

Jean Leon was a Catalan pioneer who ran a restaurant in Hollywood in the 1960s and put Cabernet Sauvignon from the Penedès region on the menu—a sensation at the time. Today, the winery continues this tradition, having been part of the Torres group since the 1990s. The Reserva line matures for several months in oak barrels before being released.

In the glass, the wine displays a dark ruby ​​red color. The nose offers aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and a hint of cedar from barrel aging. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with present but well-integrated tannins, a fresh acidity, and a long finish with notes of tobacco and dark chocolate.

Serving suggestion: Serve at 17–18 °C. Pairs well with leg of lamb with rosemary, grilled beef steak, or mature Manchego cheese. The magnum bottle (1.5 l) matures more slowly than the standard bottle—ideal for a large gathering or as a special occasion wine for years to come.
