The I Gelsi Rosé Calabria is made from the Galioppo grape variety – the preferred grape of the Statti brothers, who are responsible for this rosé. This rosé is therefore particularly fruity and fresh, perfect for balmy summer evenings. Its red color accentuates the fruity bouquet with its aromas of strawberries, raspberries, passion fruit, pomegranate, and spices. On the palate, it offers a refreshing taste experience, further enhanced by its gentle pressing and aging in stainless steel tanks.

How does the I Gelsi Rosé from Statti taste?
Fruity and fresh: strawberry, raspberry, passion fruit, and pomegranate, with a light spice note. Aging in steel tanks keeps the aromas lively and the palate refreshing. A dry rosé with a clear line.
What does the rosé pair best with?
It works well as an aperitif with antipasti, but also accompanies grilled vegetables, salads, fish, and seafood. It also looks good with mild cheese or a simple chicken dish.
At what temperature should I serve it?
Ideally between 10 and 12 °C — so well-chilled, but not ice-cold. This is how the fruit aromas are most clearly showcased.
Is this a dry rosé?
Yes, the I Gelsi Rosé is vinified dry. The fruitiness comes from the aromas, not from residual sugar — on the palate, it remains lean and refreshing.
How long can I store it?
As a fresh steel-tank rosé, it is designed for drinking pleasure, not for long storage. It is best to open it within one to two years of purchase to experience the fruitiness at its peak.
The Winery
Calabria – "Enotria Tellus", land of wine. Wine has been cultivated here for millennia; over two millennia ago, the Greeks brought indigenous grape varieties with them. The brothers Antonio and Alberto Statti have dedicated themselves to the revival of this tradition.
Their goal: to interpret Calabria in a modern way, to make the importance of the old grape varieties internationally visible. A challenge, because Calabrian wines are almost unknown today.
The Stattis want to give them back the good reputation they had in antiquity. A mission with taste.
