Sòdole Toscana IGT

The Sòdole is the classic Super Tuscan from the Guicciardini Strozzi estate — a red wine from Tuscany that combines power and finesse in a medium-bodied frame.

The Guicciardini Strozzi winery is one of the oldest family estates in Tuscany. The label features Francesco Guicciardini, the Renaissance historian and statesman — a nod to the house's deep roots in Tuscan history. The Sòdole carries the IGT Toscana designation, which gives the winery the freedom to use its own grape combinations beyond the mandatory Sangiovese requirements.

Twelve months of aging in barriques define the profile: the nose reveals dark berry fruit — blackberry, blackcurrant — as well as violets and a hint of vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a soft structure, lively acidity, and a persistent, spicy finish.

Tasting & Serving: Serve at 16–18 °C with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, wild boar ragù on pappardelle, or aged Pecorino.
