Sòdole Toscana IGT

The Sòdole is the classic Super Tuscan from the Guicciardini Strozzi estate — a red wine from Tuscany that combines power and finesse in a medium body.

The Guicciardini Strozzi winery is one of the oldest family estates in Tuscany. The label features Francesco Guicciardini, the Renaissance historian and statesman—a testament to the estate's deep roots in Tuscan history. The Sòdole carries the IGT Toscana designation, which grants the winery the freedom to use its own grape variety blends beyond the mandatory use of Sangiovese.

Twelve months of aging in barriques shape the profile: The nose reveals dark berry fruit—blackberry, blackcurrant—along with violets and a hint of vanilla from the oak. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a soft texture, lively acidity, and a lingering, spicy finish.

Serving suggestion: Serve at 16–18 °C with Bistecca alla Fiorentina, venison ragù on pappardelle, or aged Pecorino. Drinking window: now until 2027.

Strozzi

Guicciardini Strozzi – a name deeply rooted in Tuscan history. The family has cultivated their Cusona estate near San Gimignano since 994. Over 1,000 years of winemaking, passed down from generation to generation.

Today, the vineyards extend far beyond Tuscany: from Bolgheri to the wild Maremma, all the way to the sun-drenched island of Pantelleria. Hand-picked grapes, aging in old oak barrels, cellars steeped in history – you can taste it in every glass.
