Grappa Il Prosecco Riserva Monovitigno Imperiale matured in barriques 41% vol.

A Riserva grappa from a single grape variety: Il Prosecco from Nonino combines clear fruitiness with the warmth of wood aging. At 41% ABV, it is soft yet precise in its appearance.

Nonino Distillatori from Friuli is considered a pioneer of varietal purity. With the Monovitigno, grappa went from a blend to a single-vineyard spirit made from the pomace of a single grape variety. Here it is Prosecco (Glera). Distillation is artisanal and discontinuous in copper stills, after which the grappa matures in barriques.

Fresh fruit, fine vanilla, and light roasted aromas meet in the glass. On the palate, the distillate feels round and balanced; the finish lasts a long time.

Let the grappa breathe briefly in the glass and serve it neat at 16 to 18 °C. It is suitable as a conclusion after a meal, for example with dark chocolate or an espresso.

The Distillery

Nonino Distillatori

Nonino Distillatori from Percoto in Friuli has reinvented grappa – and that is no exaggeration. For generations, the Nonino family has been distilling with a passion that you can feel in every sip.

What was once considered a rustic pomace brandy drink, Nonino has turned into an elegant world-class spirit. The three sisters Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta continue the legacy of their parents Giannola and Benito today – and were named the best distillery in the world in 2020. A merit that shows in every detail: from the hand-blown Murano bottles to the aged Gran Riserva.
