Grappa Il Prosecco Monovitigno aged in barriques 41% vol. 0.5L

This grappa made from Prosecco pomace comes from the Monovitigno® range by Nonino: The distillate is created from the pomace of just one grape variety and subsequently rests in barriques. Varietal purity and wood aging are in dialogue here.

Nonino Distillatori from Friuli is considered one of Italy's defining distilling families. The distillation is carried out artisanally and discontinuously in copper stills, a process that precisely brings out the aromas of the grapes. The grappa has 41% vol. and comes in a 0.5-liter bottle.

In the glass, clear fruit meets fine vanilla and roasted aromas from the wood. On the palate, it appears round and balanced, the finish is long-lasting. Let it breathe in the glass briefly before the first sip. Served neat at 16 to 18 °C, it is a classic conclusion after a meal, for example with dark chocolate or an espresso.

The Distillery

Nonino Distillatori

Nonino Distillatori from Percoto in Friuli has reinvented grappa – and that is no exaggeration. For generations, the Nonino family has been distilling with a passion that you can feel in every sip.

What was once considered a rustic pomace brandy drink, Nonino has turned into an elegant world-class spirit. The three sisters Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta continue the legacy of their parents Giannola and Benito today – and were named the best distillery in the world in 2020. A merit that shows in every detail: from the hand-blown Murano bottles to the aged Gran Riserva.
