Grappa di Barolo Barrique 0.7L

An aged grappa from the heart of Piedmont — distilled from the pomace of the Nebbiolo grape, which also shapes Barolo. Bocchino, based in Canelli since 1898, is one of Italy's oldest grappa houses and stands for classic Piedmontese distillation culture.

Maturation in French oak barrels gives this grappa its characteristic amber color and a significantly softer texture than a young Bianco. The nose reveals vanilla and dried fruit, underscored by the tart, tannin-rich depth of the Nebbiolo skins. On the palate, a full, slightly spicy body follows with a long, warm finish.

Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or slightly chilled to about 14 °C — this is how the wood aromas and fruit unfold best. Classic after a Piedmontese menu, with dark chocolate or a ripe Gorgonzola.

The Distillery

Bocchino

Bocchino has stood for Piedmontese grappa tradition for generations. The distillery from Canelli in the heart of Monferrato processes only fresh pomace from Piedmont – Moscato, Barbera, Nebbiolo – and distills it in small copper stills. The result: characterful grappas with a clear origin, aromatic depth, and a velvety finish. Pure after a meal, slightly tempered at about 14–16 °C.
