Feudo Arancio Inzolia
The finished wine is exceptionally smooth and delicately fruity. Its color is a light straw yellow. On the nose, it offers notes of pear, apricot, and peach. The crisp palate is dominated by fruity flavors, but also reveals hints of vanilla. An elegant wine of remarkable richness and smoothness. The grapes for the typical Sicilian Feudo Arancio Inzolia Sicilia are harvested in the second week of September and then fermented at a controlled temperature of 18°C for 12 days. The wine then matures on the lees for four months.

Feudo Arancio – the “orange farm” – was founded in 2001 by the Trentino cooperative Mezzacorona and today cultivates 700 hectares of vineyards on Sicily’s windy southern coast, divided between two estates in Sambuca di Sicilia and Acate. Behind the facade of a classic baglio, the traditional Sicilian country house, oenologist Matteo Covazzi works with state-of-the-art cellar technology. Sustainability is not just a buzzword here: in 2002, Feudo Arancio was the first Italian winery to receive EMAS certification for its entire production chain and stores rainwater in seven artificial lakes with a total capacity of 900,000 cubic meters. The result is honest, characterful Sicilian wines at a price that requires no second thought.
