This Fettercairn whisky is a 16-year-old single malt, matured in a combination of first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, refill Oloroso sherry casks, and rare first-fill Palo Cortado sherry casks. An aromatic delight, it impresses with lush fruit aromas, creamy sweetness, and warming spices. On the nose, it reveals spicy oak, dried fruit, and aromatic almonds. The palate unfolds with juicy mangoes, lively citrus notes, velvety apricots, sweet raisins, crunchy walnuts, spicy mocha, and a hint of licorice. The long and creamy finish is characterized by salted caramel and gingerbread spices.
