Exceptional Harvest

A luscious white wine made from Pedro Ximénez that works with depth instead of mere sweetness: deep golden color, dense fruit, and a salty spice in the background.

The wine comes from Ximénez-Spínola in Spain, a house that focuses entirely on Pedro Ximénez. In addition to wines and sherries, they also produce brandy and liquor de brandy from the Very Old Pedro Ximénez. They are partially aged in rare chestnut barrels that are over 75 years old. This shows how consistently the winery works with this single grape variety.

In the glass, the Exceptional Harvest shows aromas of pear, apricot, apple compote, and honey. On the palate, a subtle acidity, a fine salty note, as well as spice and nut are added. They keep the luscious fruit in balance and lengthen the finish.

Serve well chilled at 8–10 °C. It pairs with blue cheese, fried foie gras, or almond pastries. You can also pour it on its own in small glasses to end an evening.
