Dolcetto d'Alba DOC Piedmont

A Dolcetto from Piedmont that focuses on fruit and structure without detours: intense ruby red with violet reflections, dark and juicy in the glass.

Bruno Giacosa is one of the most famous names in Piedmont. The grapes for this Dolcetto d'Alba DOC grow in vineyards around Neive, Neviglie, Treiso, and Alba, with an orientation from southeast to southwest. It was fermented in stainless steel tanks, the fermentation with maceration lasted eight days, and the malolactic fermentation was completed. The wine then matured for six months in stainless steel and another month in the bottle.

On the nose, ripe red fruits and blackberry appear, multi-layered and clear. On the palate, the wine appears full and harmonious, with good structure and balance. It is produced dry and lives from its fruit.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16 to 18 °C with tajarin with ragù, vitello tonnato, grilled salsiccia, or medium-aged mountain cheese. It also goes well with an uncomplicated evening with antipasti.
