Château la Serre Grand Cru Classé 0.75L

Château La Serre Grand Cru Classé grows on the limestone-rich plateau of Saint-Émilion – a wine that embodies the quiet precision of this appellation: no heavyweight extraction, but tension and structure.

The Château is located a stone's throw from the medieval town, on one of the best limestone soils of the appellation. The blend follows the classic Saint-Émilion logic: 80% Merlot provides fullness and dark fruit, 20% Cabernet Franc provides aromatic precision and a long finish.

In the glass, blackberry and ripe plum appear, underpinned by graphite, a hint of violet, and the characteristic limestone minerality of the plateau. The tannins are firm but without harshness – the finish remains long and spicy, with a touch of licorice.

Best served at 16–18 °C. Goes well with rack of lamb with a herb crust, entrecôte, or a strong Tomme from the Pyrenees. Those who decant the wine get more of the Cabernet Franc side – graphite, herbs, length.
