Château Gombaude Guillot Magnum 1.5L

Seven hectares on the plateau of Pomerol, right next to Pétrus and Château Lafleur — Gombaude-Guillot is one of the quiet addresses that connoisseurs know. In family hands since 1860, biodynamically managed since 1998, and Biodyvin-certified since 2006: the winery is one of the early pioneers of organic viticulture in the appellation.

The Merlot grows on the clay-rich high plateau, which gives Pomerol its velvety, full-bodied style. The glass shows a clear, concentrated bouquet of dark cherries, blackberry, and a hint of violet — fruit-precise without feeling heavy. On the palate, medium body, very fine, supple tannins, and well-dosed acidity that keeps the wine in balance. The finish is long and soft, without being intrusive.

The magnum bottle — 1.5 liters — slows down maturation and gives the wine additional depth and texture. Ideal for a special evening at the table: entrecôte with herb butter, braised lamb shoulder, or a ripe Époisses. Drinking temperature: 16–18 °C, feel free to open an hour beforehand.
