Chateau Du Moulin Rouge Chateau du Moulin Rouge

Château du Moulin Rouge – a wine for those seeking depth and elegance in a glass. Grown on vines around 35 years old, this wine possesses a maturity that can be tasted in the first sip.

The old vines work hard for a low yield – and that's precisely what makes the difference. In the glass, it reveals powerful aromas of ripe red fruits, embedded in fine, well-integrated tannins and a delicate spiciness of oak. The finish is long, rounded, and pleasantly lingering.

This wine goes particularly well with:

  • Braised beef or leg of lamb
  • Mature hard cheeses such as Comté or Manchego
  • Hearty pasta and risotto dishes

Whether as an accompaniment to a festive dinner or as a conscious indulgence for a quiet evening – Château du Moulin Rouge is a reliable choice for anyone who values quality.

Château Du Moulin Rouge

Château du Moulin Rouge is located in the commune of Cussac-Fort-Médoc, between Margaux and Saint-Julien, in the heart of the Médoc region. It has been family-owned for 13 generations. The Pelon-Ribeiro family places great value on tradition and cultivates the vineyards sustainably to consistently offer their customers outstanding quality for over 40 years. The vineyards of the Cru Bourgeois Domaine cover 18 hectares of typical gravelly soil, benefiting from the microclimate created by the proximity of the Gironde estuary, which acts as a powerful temperature regulator. The vines are over 40 years old and consist of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc.
