Château Moulin Rouge Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc
Color: Deep ruby red with cherry-red highlights. Aroma: Expressive and highly sensual bouquet of blackcurrants, strawberries, raspberries, plums, vanilla, dark spices, and sweet pipe tobacco. Taste: Velvety, full-bodied, warm, and spicy on the palate with ripe, yet smooth and firm tannins, beautifully juicy and vibrant fruit, and good extract. Very balanced and harmonious with an excellent length on the finish. At Château du Moulin Rouge, all grapes are harvested by hand and vinified traditionally with extended maceration. The Château wine is then aged for twelve months in French oak barrels. Decanter 92 points for the 2016 vintage.

Château du Moulin Rouge is located in the commune of Cussac-Fort-Médoc, between Margaux and Saint-Julien, in the heart of the Médoc region. It has been family-owned for 13 generations. The Pelon-Ribeiro family places great value on tradition and cultivates the vineyards sustainably to consistently offer their customers outstanding quality for over 40 years. The vineyards of the Cru Bourgeois Domaine cover 18 hectares of typical gravelly soil, benefiting from the microclimate created by the proximity of the Gironde estuary, which acts as a powerful temperature regulator. The vines are over 40 years old and consist of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc.
