The Pelon-Ribeiro family places great value on tradition and cultivates the vineyards sustainably to consistently offer their customers outstanding quality for over 40 years. The vineyards of the Cru Bourgeois Domaine cover 18 hectares of typical gravelly soil, benefiting from the microclimate created by the proximity of the Gironde estuary, which acts as a powerful temperature regulator. The vines are over 40 years old and consist of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc.

Château du Moulin Rouge is located in Cussac-Fort-Médoc, nestled between the Margaux and Saint-Julien appellations—a location that could hardly be better. For 13 generations, the Pelon-Ribeiro family has cultivated 18 hectares of vineyards here on typical gravelly soils that store the day's warmth and release it slowly at night. The proximity to the Gironde estuary acts as a natural temperature regulator, protecting the vines from late frosts and extreme temperature fluctuations.

The vines are on average over 40 years old—an age at which the roots reach deep enough to extract minerality and concentration from the soil that younger vines simply cannot achieve. The blend consists of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc: a classic Médoc assemblage that maintains a balance between structure and suppleness.
