Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes

Chambolle-Musigny is considered the most delicate appellation of the Côte de Nuits, and this Vieilles Vignes shows why: Pinot Noir with intensity, but without heaviness, carried by lively acidity.

Domaine Felettig cultivates its vines in Burgundy and has been responsible for winemaking since 1993. The grapes come from old vines that provide less, but more concentrated yield. That is exactly what you taste in the glass. The source data does not reveal more about the aging, so we stick to what can be said for sure.

On the nose raspberry and dark berries, on the palate fresh and juicy, with noticeable density and a finish that lingers. Typical for Chambolle is the elegance: the wine feels silky instead of powerful, the fruit remains clear, and the acidity gives pull.

We recommend it at 14 to 16 °C, for example with duck breast, sweetbreads, roasted guinea fowl, or a ripe Époisses. It also works solo on a fireplace evening if you give the glass some time to open up.
