Campofiorin Rosso 1.5L Magnum
Campofiorin has been Masi's flagship wine since 1964 — a pioneer of the Ripasso style, long before the method became trendy in the Veneto region. The 1.5-liter magnum allows the wine more time to breathe and is particularly suitable for larger gatherings.
Masi has cultivated vineyards around Verona for generations and is considered one of the most influential wineries in the Valpolicella region. For their Campofiorin, Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes undergo a second fermentation on the pomace of partially dried grapes after the main harvest—hence the additional depth and structure that simple Valpolicella wines lack.
Ruby red in color with violet reflections. On the nose, black cherry, plum jam, and a hint of dried violets. On the palate, soft and warm, with a round body, velvety tannins, and a spicy, slightly cocoa-like finish.
Serving temperature 16–18 °C. Pairs well with pasta al ragù, grilled lamb chops, or Taleggio cheese. The magnum bottle continues to develop well for several hours after opening—an advantage when used as a table bottle.
