Brunello di Montalcino DOCG - Organic - Magnum in HK
A Brunello in a magnum bottle develops more slowly, matures more evenly, and unfolds its character over years—making this format the first choice for cellar enthusiasts and special evenings. The wine comes from Col d'Orcia, one of the most important producers in Montalcino, with 108 hectares of Brunello-classified vineyards and the title of the largest organic winery in Tuscany.
The estate's history dates back to 1890, when the Franceschi family acquired the property in Colle. Under the management of the Marone Cinzano family since 1973, Col d'Orcia is now certified organic: well-tended soils, no synthetic pesticides, and consistent, uncompromising cultivation.
In the glass, the Sangiovese displays aromas of sour cherry and red currant, underpinned by dried herbs and subtle oak spice. The tannins are ripe and structured, the acidity provides tension without harshness—a classic Montalcino profile with a long, spicy finish. Serving temperature: 17–18 °C. Drinking window from 2026, with potential well into the 2030s.
Pairs well with braised wild boar, Bistecca alla Fiorentina, or mature Pecorino di Pienza. The magnum is worthwhile for a large table—or as an investment in your cellar.
