B-52 GG Spätburgunder Heimersheimer Burggarten QW Ahr 0.75L

The B-52 GG Pinot Noir from the Heimersheimer Burggarten is one of the wines for which the Ahr is known: a red wine with depth that clearly brings the characteristics of its site into the glass.

Weingut Nelles is one of the traditional estates on the Ahr and, with the Heimersheimer Burggarten, cultivates one of the valley's striking single vineyards. The soils there — Devonian slate with volcanic rock and loess cover — provide the Pinot Noir with a mineral basic tension that is typical for site-specific wines of this region.

In the glass, it shows a medium-deep ruby tone. On the nose, sour cherry and blackberry, plus fine earthy and spicy notes that point to the slate subsoil. On the palate, silky-fine tannins, a fresh, well-integrated acidity, and a persistent, slightly mineral finish — as is characteristic for Pinot Noir from the Ahr.

Best served at 16–18 °C. Pairs with venison fillet with wild cranberries, braised duck breast, or an aged Époisses.
