Sibona – Logo, Spirituosen aus Italien

Sibona

Sibona – an Italian distillery in Piedmont, near Alba. Founded at the end of the 19th century by Domenico Sibona. A special detail: Sibona holds distilling license No. 1 – granted only to distilleries with a particularly rich tradition in Italy. Their grappas are made exclusively from grapes grown in the Langhe and Rohero regions at altitudes of 150 to 250 meters. Pomace from Nebbiolo, Chardonnay, Moscato, or Barbera grapes is gently distilled and then aged in steel or wooden barrels. The result? Three consecutive awards for "Best Distiller of the Year" at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in London. Italian craftsmanship at its finest.

Distilling license no. 1 –
Grappa craftsmanship since the 19th century

Near Alba, in the heart of Piedmont, the Sibona family has been distilling grappa from the pomace of the Langhe and Rohero regions since the end of the 19th century. Nebbiolo, Moscato, Barbera, and Chardonnay grapes are gently distilled and then aged in steel or wooden barrels. The fact that the distillery holds the state distilling license No. 1 speaks volumes about its standing in Italy.
