Luce della Vite

Tenuta Luce della Vite – Tuscan high-altitude artistry. Southwest of Montalcino, the estate stretches across 192 hectares, 77 of which are vineyards. Situated at 350 to 420 meters above sea level, it boasts some of the highest vineyard sites in the region. Sangiovese thrives on the Galestro soil, while Merlot flourishes in the lower-lying, clay- and sand-rich soils. Long, hot summers, a southern exposure, and slow ripening result in concentrated, powerful wines. Sustainable farming practices, organic technologies, and low yields (approximately 30 hectoliters per hectare) are employed. Thinning and leaf removal are carefully employed to enhance the character of the grape varieties and capture the essence of the terroir. Montalcino in its purest form.

High-altitude character from the heart of Tuscany

On Galestro soils between 350 and 420 meters, southwest of Montalcino, Sangiovese grapes develop into concentrated, profound wines. Low yields of around 30 hl per hectare and sustainable farming practices mean the estate thinks in terms of generations, not vintages.
