Lucente Toscana IGT 6.0L

The Lucente is the accessible side of Tenuta Luce: a Tuscan red wine cuvée of Merlot and Sangiovese that combines fruit density with lively freshness. This 6-liter large bottle (Impériale) makes it the centerpiece of any large table.

The Luce della Vite winery is one of the well-known names in Montalcino. The Lucente is considered there to be the more modern, more directly accessible expression of the origin. In the 2022 vintage, a hot summer and targeted rainfall ensured even ripening of the grapes and a concentrated fruit.

On the nose, pomegranate, dark blackberry, and violet appear, plus spicy nuances. On the palate, dry, full-bodied, and harmonious, with velvety, ripe tannins. The lively freshness keeps the wine in motion, the finish is spicy and lingers for a long time.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16–18 °C with pasta with wild boar ragù, grilled meat, or aged pecorino. The large bottle is suitable for celebrations where several guests are sitting at the table.

Luce della Vite

Tenuta Luce della Vite – Tuscan high-altitude art. Southwest of Montalcino, the estate extends over 192 hectares, 55 of which are vineyards. 350 to 420 meters above sea level – one of the highest locations in the area.

Sangiovese grows on Galestro soil, while Merlot thrives in deeper, clay- and sand-rich sites. Long, hot summers, southern exposure, slow ripening – this results in concentrated, powerful wines.

Low yields (approx. 30 hl per hectare). Thinning, defoliation – everything to strengthen the character of the grape varieties and capture the essence of the terroir. Montalcino in its purest form.
