Jaboulet
Paul Jaboulet Aîné –
Rhône classic since 1834
Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of the most influential names in the Rhône Valley : founded in 1834, it is now managed by Caroline Frey, the eldest daughter of the owning Frey family. What began as a négociant house in the northern Rhône Valley is today a winery with around 100 hectares of its own vineyards north of Valence – in the heart of one of France's most distinctive wine regions.
On the terraces and granite slopes of the northern Rhône, Syrah is the predominant grape variety, producing dense, peppery red wines with excellent aging potential. In the south, Grenache and Bourboulenc complement the range, while Marsanne and Viognier are responsible for the white blends – from fresh and aromatic to mature and complex. Since taking over the estate, Caroline Frey has consistently guided it towards organic farming, focusing on hand-harvesting and gentle cellar work.
Jaboulet's wines reflect the diversity of the Rhône Valley: from accessible entry-level wines to appellation classics such as Crozes-Hermitage or Saint-Joseph, which showcase terroir and craftsmanship alike.
