Jaboulet Parallele 45 Côtes du Rhône Blanc

Jaboulet Parallele 45 Côtes du Rhône Blanc
Fresh Rhône white wine from one of the valley's most renowned producers — uncomplicated in the best sense, with real substance in the glass.
Paul Jaboulet Aîné has been one of the most influential names in the Northern Rhône since the 19th century, best known for Hermitage and Crozes-Hermitage. Parallèle 45 is their approachable, everyday wine—named after the 45th parallel, which runs directly through the Rhône Valley. For this white cuvée, the musts are first fermented in stainless steel tanks; the wine then ages for two to three months, half in tanks and half in oak barrels. The result is a white wine with freshness and texture.
Pale yellow in the glass with greenish reflections. The nose reveals white blossoms—elderflower, acacia blossom—and citrus notes of lime and grapefruit. Full-bodied on the palate, with a lively acidity that keeps the finish clean and crisp. Not a heavy, buttery style, but a Mediterranean lightness with a touch of creaminess.
Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled pike-perch, goat cheese salad, ratatouille, or as an aperitif with olives and focaccia. Ready to drink, no long cellaring required.

The French winery D. Paul Jaboulet Aîné was founded in 1834 and is currently owned by the Frey family and managed by their eldest daughter, Caroline Frey. The winery is located in the Rhône Valley, north of the city of Valence in southeastern France. There, the Jaboulet winemakers cultivate approximately 100 hectares of vineyards, growing grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Viognier, and Bouroulenc for their wines.
