Pinot Blanc Clay & Marl Southern Styria DAC

Eight vineyards, one wine: The Ton & Mergel shows what Southern Styria can do with Pinot Blanc – taut freshness, clear fruit, and a soil that leaves its signature on the glass.

The Tement winery in Berghausen is one of the most famous addresses in Southern Styria. Biodynamically managed (Demeter-certified) and consistently focused on terroir expression, this cuvée approach combines grapes from eight clay-rich vineyards with a limestone-marl subsoil – hence the name.

In the glass, ripe pear and yellow apple appear, plus a hint of almond and a fine citrus note in the finish. The limestone marl provides a lively acid structure that keeps the wine lean and animating – not a heavy single-vineyard wine, but a precise everyday companion with character.

Tement

Tement stands for Austrian wines from the Weinland, which cover the spectrum from fresh white wines to red wines full of character with grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Blaufränkisch.

At Vinoscout, you will find five wines from Tement in a price range from 16.80 to 25.99 euros – a manageable but finely selected range that well reflects the style of the Austrian wine-growing region of Weinland.
