Villa Santa Flavia Merlot Magnum

Villa Santa Flavia Merlot Magnum
A Merlot in magnum format that delivers exactly what the Veneto promises: soft fruit, round body, uncomplicated character — and 1.5 liters that carry you through the evening in a relaxed way when in a larger group.
Villa Santa Flavia is rooted in the Veneto, one of the most productive and versatile wine regions in Northern Italy. The loamy soils and the moderate climate between the foothills of the Alps and the Adriatic coast favor even ripening — ideal conditions for Merlot, which unfolds its typical suppleness here. The winery focuses on clear varietal character without detours.
In the glass, the wine shows ripe sour cherry and dark plum, behind them a hint of vanilla and a light touch of cocoa. The body is medium-weight, the tannins soft and well-integrated. The acidity remains restrained and gives the wine its round, pleasing character. The finish is short to medium-long, pleasantly dry, with a light aftertaste of red berries.
Pairs with pasta with tomato sauce, pizza, grilled sausage, or an antipasti buffet. Also a solid choice with young Pecorino. Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. The magnum format keeps the wine at a consistent temperature for longer — a practical advantage when pouring at the table.
