Val de Rance Doux Cider

A cider for those who avoid harshness and appreciate natural fruit sweetness. Val de Rance from Brittany presses traditional apple varieties – including Bendan and Judor – and stops fermentation early to retain most of the natural fruit sugar.

In the glass, Cidre Doux displays a clear golden yellow color. On the palate, it offers soft caramel notes, ripe apple fruit, and a well-rounded, never cloying sweetness – its low alcohol content makes it light and perfect for everyday enjoyment. Serve well chilled at 6–8 °C.

Perfect with galettes bretonnes, crêpes with butter caramel or mild goat cheese. Also an uncompromising aperitif.

Val de Rance

Val de Rance is the brand of the cooperative Les Celliers Associés, founded in 1953 by twelve apple growers in the Rance Valley of Brittany – with the aim of pooling resources and creating an authentic Breton cider. Today, the cider mill in Pleudihen-sur-Rance is one of France's leading cider producers and is considered the most awarded cider mill at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris. What distinguishes the cooperative is its consistent approach: more than 99% pure apple juice, no additives, carefully selected old Breton apple varieties – overseen by Maître de Chai Alain Le Page from the first pressing to bottling. It's no wonder that Val de Rance is now available in over 70 countries and in countless Breton crêperies.
