Touraine Sauvignon Guy Saget
The Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this Touraine from Guy Saget are harvested at full ripeness from late September to early October and vinified in stainless steel tanks using traditional methods at low temperatures. The province of Touraine, surrounding the ancient city of Tours, is not only famous for its magnificent Loire châteaux. Here, where the Cher and Indre rivers converge on their way to the Loire, countless valleys and watersheds have formed, giving the region its unusually large number of excellent vineyard sites. The AOC Touraine appellation, encompassing approximately 5,300 hectares, produces roughly equal numbers of red and white wines (including sparkling wines). Particularly in the eastern part of the wine-growing region, the more continental climate offers Sauvignon Blanc superb growing and ripening conditions. The Touraine Sauvignon is a bright, clear straw yellow. Aroma: an elegant, fresh bouquet with delicate hints of blackcurrants and blossoms. Taste: elegant and fragrant on the palate with floral aromas that linger long in the finish – a highly refined Sauvignon with great length.

Guy Saget – Loire wine with soul. Rooted in Pouilly-sur-Loire for nine generations, the Saget La Perrière winery now unites five estates along the river. Each with its own soil and character. The result: fresh Sauvignon Blancs with aromas of citrus and herbs. Elegant Pinot Noirs, light and expressive. Wines that simply work – as an aperitif or at the dinner table. Carefully cultivated, without gimmicks. Just what the Loire has been doing for centuries: vibrant life in the glass.
