Rosé de Loire Guy Saget

Rosé de Loire Guy Saget
An uncomplicated rosé from the heart of the Loire — fruity, light and with the lively freshness for which the valley is known.
Guy Saget is one of the established négociant houses of the Loire, based in Pouilly-sur-Loire. For decades, the house has collaborated with winegrowers along the entire river, skillfully bringing the regional strengths of the appellations to the glass. The Rosé de Loire is made from Cabernet Franc , which benefits from Atlantic influences in the Touraine region. The alluvial soils—rich in chalk and limestone—give the wine its characteristic freshness.
In the glass, it displays a bright salmon pink with a hint of pink. The nose offers fresh strawberry, raspberry, and red currant, along with an unusual hint of chestnut that lends the bouquet a distinctive character. On the palate, it is light and direct, with fine acidity and juicy berry fruit that lingers through to the lively finish.
Serving temperature: 8–10 °C . Pairs well with a summer salad with goat cheese, grilled shrimp, or a light quiche. It also makes a great aperitif on the patio.
