The Whistler PX I Love You 46% 0.7l

An Irish single malt with a clear signature: The Whistler PX I Love You is first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished for at least six months in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks — one of the sweetest and most intense sherry styles ever.

The Whistler is the house brand of the Irish Boann Distillery, which has been producing in County Meath since 2019 and is known for its sherry-influenced bottlings. The combination of Irish distilling tradition and consistent cask management makes the line one of the most approachable Irish malts in the mid-price range.

In the glass, the effects of six months in a PX cask become apparent: dark raisins, dates, and a hint of dark chocolate mingle with the vanilla and light caramel from the bourbon wood. The finish is long, warm, and slightly nutty. Bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration or added coloring, this whiskey retains its natural texture and depth.

Drink neat at room temperature to experience the full spectrum of aromas. A drop of water further enhances the sweetness. Also pairs well with a piece of dark chocolate or as a digestif after a hearty dinner.

Boann Distillery – Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey in its purest form. What makes it special? The use of unmalted grains in the mash mixture – this gives it its world-famous character and distinguishes it from Single Malt.

The distillery has one of the few specially developed brewing systems for Single Pot Still in Ireland. With a mash conversion vessel and lauter tun, the unmalted grains are processed efficiently, and the crucial enzymes are activated.

The result: highest-quality Single Pot Still spirits with a unique taste and mouthfeel. Irish whiskey tradition, perfected.
