Tappa Pass

Tappa Pass
The 2021 Tappa Pass Shiraz from Henschke shows what the Barossa Valley is capable of: deep fruit, structure, and a finish that lingers.
Henschke is one of Australia's most famous family wineries – rooted in the Eden Valley and Barossa Valley for five generations since 1868. The Tappa Pass is their more accessible entry into the Barossa terroir, vinified with the same craftsmanship that distinguishes the house's icons.
In the glass, the 2021 shows dark blackberry and blueberry, underscored by a hint of dark chocolate and toasted oak. The tannins are present but not edgy – they give the wine support without harshness. The finish is warm and persistent, with a light peppery spice that is typical for Barossa Shiraz.
Serving recommendation: Best served at 16–18 °C. Pairs with braised lamb loin, beef brisket, or a strong cheese like aged cheddar.
