Schlumberger Sparkling Brut GP Method Traditionnelle 0.75L

Schlumberger Sparkling Brut GP Method Traditionnelle 0.75L
Schlumberger's Sparkling Brut GP is produced using the traditional method with bottle fermentation and at least 15 months of lees aging—far exceeding the legal minimum for Austrian quality sparkling wine. The blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, and Welschriesling grapes displays white peach, fresh mirabelle plum, and a hint of brioche, along with a citrusy note on the finish. The bubbles are fine and persistent, and the finish is dry and invigorating.
As an aperitif, it opens the palate without being filling. Pairs well with salmon tartare, white asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or goat cheese crostini. Serving temperature: 6–8 °C.

Schlumberger is Austria's oldest sparkling wine producer – founded in 1842 by Robert Schlumberger, an Alsatian cellar master who learned his craft at Ruinart in Reims and was the first to bring the traditional method to Austria. As purveyors to the Imperial and Royal Court and pioneers of Austrian sparkling wine culture, the Viennese company set standards that remain valid today: base wines exclusively from Austrian contract growers, at least twelve months of lees aging, and traditional riddling. The underground cellars in the 19th district – the oldest of their kind in Austria – tell the story of this long history. For decades, Schlumberger has been the unsung hero of the Vienna Opera Ball.
