Santadi Grotta Rossa Carignano DOC

The wines come from the finest vineyards near the Sardinian coast in the Sulcis region. The soils have the perfect composition for the older Carignano vines, which produce beautifully concentrated wines. After a year of barrel aging and a year in the bottle, the result is an elegant combination of spice and (forest) fruit. This Carignano del Sulcis from Santadi is particularly well-suited for aging in barriques. Thanks to the microclimate, the wine achieves a perfect balance between extract, tannins, alcohol, and acidity almost every year. The Santadi Grotta Rossa is made from 100% Carignano and aged without oak. It offers powerful and intense aromas of red fruit and leather. On the palate, it is rich in fruit, especially cherries, and elegant acidity, then soft and dry with well-integrated tannins and a fresh taste.
