Sancerre Blanc Reverdy Magnum

Sancerre Blanc Reverdy Magnum
Sancerre from a magnum — that means slower aging, more pressure in the perlage of life, and a wine that leaves an impression at the table without being loud. The Blanc from Reverdy shows why Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire appellation Sancerre is among the most precise white wines in France.
Origin: The Reverdy family cultivates their vineyards around Sury-en-Vaux in the heart of the Sancerre appellation. Kimmeridgian limestone and flint stones — the so-called Terres Blanches and Caillottes — shape the style: taut, mineral, with a clear fruit line.
In the glass: Citrus zest, white currant, and a distinct flint tone, which is typical for flint-rich soils. On the palate, lively acidity, medium body, no use of wood — the wine remains focused and straightforward right into the salty, long finish.
Serving recommendation: Ideal with goat cheese from the Loire (Crottin de Chavignol is the classic combination), with grilled sea bass, scallops with butter, or a light vegetable risotto. Serving temperature 10–12 °C.
