Resonance Willamette Valley Chardonnay
A Chardonnay that shows what Oregon can do: no opulence at any price, but tension between fruit, acidity, and minerality.
Résonance is the Oregon project of Maison Louis Jadot from Burgundy. Since 2013, the house has been cultivating its own vineyards in the Willamette Valley – a region whose cool climate and volcanic soils allow Burgundian grape varieties to ripen on par with Europe. The Chardonnay comes from selected sites in the valley, vinified with the artisanal approach that Jadot has cultivated in the Côte d'Or for decades.
In the glass, it shows aromas of ripe pear, nectarine, and citrus zest, underscored by a subtle hint of hazelnut. The aging brings melt without heaviness – the acidity remains present and gives the wine length and drinkability. Finish: fresh, with a slightly creamy note.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Food: Roasted halibut, chicken with tarragon cream sauce, mild goat cheese, or risotto with mushrooms
