Resonance Willamette Valley Chardonnay
A Chardonnay that shows what Oregon is capable of: not opulence at any price, but tension between fruit, acidity and minerality.
Résonance is Maison Louis Jadot 's Oregon project from Burgundy. Since 2013, the winery has cultivated its own vineyards in the Willamette Valley – a region whose cool climate and volcanic soils allow Burgundian grape varieties to ripen at a level comparable to those in Europe. The Chardonnay comes from select sites in the valley, vinified using the artisanal approach that Jadot has cultivated for decades in the Côte d'Or.
In the glass, it displays aromas of ripe pear, nectarine, and lemon zest, underpinned by a subtle hint of hazelnut. The aging process imparts a smooth, rich texture without heaviness – the acidity remains present, giving the wine length and drinkability. Finish: fresh, with a slightly creamy note.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Dishes: Fried halibut, chicken with tarragon cream sauce, mild goat cheese or risotto with mushrooms
- Drinking window: now until 2028
