Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Horse Heaven Hills

This Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Horse Heaven Hills in the US state of Washington, one of the most famous sites in the Columbia Valley. It is vinified dry and focuses on dark fruit with a supporting structure.

Columbia Crest is one of Washington's great wineries and has made a name for itself with red wines from this region. The Horse Heaven Hills are considered a warm, windy growing area above the Columbia River, where Cabernet Sauvignon ripens well and develops strong color and tannins.

In the glass, red berries and black cherries appear, accompanied by a note of dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine feels full and concentrated, the tannins are silky and blend well into the fruit. The finish remains long and characterized by dark fruit.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16 to 18 °C. It goes well with grilled rib-eye steak, lamb chops with rosemary or a hearty burger with aged cheddar.

Columbia Crest

Columbia Crest was founded in 1983 and is a US winery located in Washington State, three hours' drive from Seattle. Situated on the Columbia River and protected by the Cascade Mountains, the region offers perfect conditions for viticulture.

In addition, these conditions are favored by the climate, which is characterized by a controlled water supply and sufficient hours of sunshine.

A variety of grape varieties are grown for the production of the wines on a vineyard area of 2500 hectares. These include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, and Syrah.
