Poggio delle Faine Rosso IGT - Magnum -
A concentrated bouquet, plenty of fresh, vanilla-like oak, blends with pleasantly warm and caressing fruit, leather, and hints of chocolate and coffee. Tuscany: synonymous with a green, hilly landscape dotted with olive groves, cedars, and, of course, vineyards in the northwestern part of central Italy, where the Sangiovese grape is most widely cultivated in Italy. This is where Poggio delle Faine comes from. The red blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon rivals the great Super Tuscans of this region. The wine originates from vineyards situated at altitudes between 200 and 400 meters, predominantly facing south. The intense sunshine and cooling winds produce particularly juicy, extract-rich grapes. The red wine matures for one year in French oak barrels. The result is impressive: a full-bodied, ready-to-drink wine with complex structure and rich aromas. The white counterpart, Poggio Bianco, is a single-varietal Chardonnay that has been aged briefly in barriques and is characterized by a fascinating diversity.
