Pimm's No. 1 English trendy aperitif

Pimm's is an elegant liqueur and a classic, long appreciated by the British upper class. This fruity, herbal, gin-based liqueur is a familiar drink in the stands at Wimbledon and at picnics in London's sprawling parks. James Pimm, the former owner of the Oyster Bar in London, invented and launched the spirit in 1823. The subtly bitter liqueur is now also very popular in Europe, where it is enjoyed by, among others, Prince William and other members of the royal family. Pimm's No. 1, with its amber color, is now also being served in German bars and kitchens, whetting the appetite for the next Pimm's picnic.

Campari

When you think of aperitivo, you think of Campari. Since Gaspare Campari created his bittersweet herbal liqueur in Milan in 1860, the group has stood for the Italian pre-meal ritual – unpretentious, convivial, and unmistakably red. Today, the Campari Group unites over 50 brands under one roof, including Aperol from Padua in the Veneto region, the non-alcoholic Crodino, and the artichoke bitter Cynar. What they all have in common: recipes that have stood the test of time and a keen sense for the perfect moment in the afternoon.
