Fruity and fresh like lemon, with a subtle grappa note in the background. The taste is clearly citrus-driven, not heavy – the base of Venetian grappa gives it a bit more depth than a pure sugar liqueur.
How do you drink Limoncello properly?
Ice-cold, neat in a small glass – classically as a digestif after a meal. But it also works as a base for cocktails or as an aperitif with ice cubes and mineral water.
What does the Limoncello pair best with?
With desserts with a citrus note, such as panna cotta, lemon tart, or sorbet. As a cocktail ingredient, it harmonizes with Prosecco or light rum.
How cold should the Limoncello be?
Best served directly from the freezer – at about minus 5 to 0 degrees, it becomes slightly viscous and unfolds its aroma most clearly. A bottle in the freezer is not a mistake.
How long does an opened bottle keep?
Thanks to the alcohol content of 25% ABV, an opened bottle keeps well for several months if sealed and stored cool. Quality losses due to oxidation are low in liqueurs of this strength.
