Nine generations, one passion: The Walcher family has been distilling spirits in Eppan, South Tyrol , since 1966, transforming sun-ripened fruit from their own orchards into exceptional grappas, brandies, and liqueurs. What makes it so special? The fruit literally grows on their doorstep – amidst picturesque vineyards and fertile orchards, shaped by the mild South Tyrolean climate.
From this deep connection to nature come distillates that you can taste: pure, aromatic, with genuine character. In 2019, the gourmet food manufactory in Kaltern was added – a place where the finest vinegars and delicacies perfectly complement the passion for spirits.

Since 1966, the Walcher family has been distilling spirits in Eppan on Lake Kaltern – surrounded by vineyards and orchards, which the mild South Tyrolean climate blesses with ripe fruit year after year. What began as a passion is now a craft passed down through nine generations: The fruit grows on their own land, is harvested at the perfect time, and processed directly on site. No long transport routes, no compromises on the raw materials.
This results in grappas, fine brandies, and liqueurs that bear the character of their origin – aromatically precise, with a purity that can be felt on both the nose and the palate. Whether it's the fruity Williams pear brandy, a mature grappa made from Lagrein pomace, or a delicate elderberry liqueur: each distillate tells a story of its location, the grape variety, and the meticulous care taken in the copper still.
In 2019, the family expanded their business to include a gourmet food manufactory in Kaltern, where fine vinegars and delicacies complement the distillery tradition. A harmonious overall experience for everyone who wants to not only drink, but also eat South Tyrolean products.
