Opus One Napa Valley 0.75L

Opus One is one of the most famous addresses in Napa Valley — created in 1979 from the collaboration between Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild, today an independent winery with a clear signature. The wine stands for the connection of two wine worlds: the fruit depth of California meets the structural rigor of Bordeaux. The result is a red wine with both weight and precision.

In the glass, it shows dark berry fruit — blackberry, blackcurrant — accompanied by cedar wood, a trace of tobacco, and a fine graphite note in the background. The palate is dense, the tannins ripe and silky, the acidity well-integrated. The finish is long and spicy, with a light cocoa note in the aftertaste.

Best served at 17–18 °C, ideally after an hour of decanting. Pairs with beef fillet, braised leg of lamb, or aged hard cheese like Aged Cheddar or Parmigiano Reggiano — dishes with depth and richness that meet the wine on equal footing.
