Economic Advisor Rebholz Muskateller
Muscat has a reputation as a light, pleasing variety — Rebholz from the Palatinate shows what can be behind it if you take the grape variety seriously.
The Ökonomierat Rebholz winery in Siebeldingen is one of the leading wineries in the southern Palatinate. For decades, Hansjörg Rebholz has cultivated his vineyards at Birkweiler Kastanienbusch and Siebeldinger Im Sonnenschein according to biodynamic principles, with consistently low yields and gentle cellar management. The result is wines with substance and length – including the Muscatel.
In the glass, it displays the typical varietal aromas of orange blossom and nutmeg, along with fresh citrus zest and a hint of white pepper. The acidity is lively yet integrated—not sharp, but an invigorating line that carries the wine. The finish is aromatic and lingering, with a slightly mineral note.
