Chardonnay "R" half bottle 0.375L

The Chardonnay “R” from Ökonomierat Rebholz shows how much depth a Palatinate Chardonnay can have: warm, dense, and yet clearly defined. The half bottle with 0.375 l is the right format if you are sitting at the table for two.

The winery is located in Siebeldingen in the Southern Palatinate. The wine comes from organic farming.

On the nose, ripe quince, herbal spice, and fresh hay meet butter, dried flowers, and fine wood spice. On the palate, it is finely juicy, with a firm body and plenty of melt. Linden blossom tea, dried apricot, and light roasted notes accompany the quince, the texture is velvety. The finish remains mineral, with papaya, some stone fruit, and buttered toast appearing in the aftertaste.

Serve it at 10–12 °C, not too cold, so that the spice can unfold. It goes well with roasted veal with cream sauce, oven-baked chicken, zander in butter, or aged mountain cheese.
