Oberrotweiler Eichberg Spätburgunder dry QW Baden 0.75L
A Pinot Noir from the Kaiserstuhl that translates the volcanic power of this site into an elegant, dry structure. The Oberrotweiler Eichberg is one of the most famous sites in the Kaiserstuhl — loess soil over volcanic rock, intense sunlight, cool nights. Ideal conditions for Pinot Noir with depth.
The Freiherr von Gleichenstein winery in Oberrotweil has specialized in this grape variety for generations and is one of the reliable addresses in Baden. In the glass, the wine shows a youthful purple with violet reflections. On the nose, forest berry, blackberry, and violets, plus an earthy, slightly spicy note that lets the volcanic location shine through. On the palate, medium body, ripe, well-integrated tannins, and a fresh acidity structure that enlivens the finish.
Pairs with duck breast with cherries, saddle of venison, or a mature Époisses. Serving temperature: 16–17 °C.
