Lust & Leben QW Burgenland 0.75L
Blaufränkisch from Gols on Lake Neusiedl — this is Burgenland at its most approachable: dark fruit, clear structure, no detours. The "Lust & Leben" from the Paul Achs winery is the entry-level wine in the portfolio of a winery that has been among the most reliable names in Burgenland for decades and cultivates its vineyards organically.
Paul Achs cultivates his vineyards around Gols, where the Pannonian influence—hot summers, dry autumns—gives the Blaufränkisch grapes ripeness and depth without compromising their characteristic acidity. This is evident in the glass: dark cherry, blackberry, a hint of pepper, and herbal spice in the background. The wine is medium-bodied, the tannins present but not harsh, and the finish fresh and clean.
It's best enjoyed at 16–18 °C — with grilled sausage, paprika chicken, or a hearty lentil stew. It's also perfect as an uncomplicated evening wine without any fuss. Drinking window: now until 2027.

Weingut Paul Achs from Gols in Burgenland works according to a simple but consistent conviction: Man does not shape the wine – the soil does.
The winery has been in family hands for generations. Paul Achs and his team rely on patience instead of control, on manual labor instead of technology. The vineyards around Gols – with their layers of limestone, loam and clay – provide the raw material. The winemaker listens. The result is wines with depth, finesse and genuine origin. Especially the Blaufränkisch Altenberg shows what this philosophy can do.
