Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Brunello di Montalcino needs time — Le Macioche takes it. The wine matures for 30 months in oak barrels before bottling, and shows exactly that: depth, structure, and a finish that lingers.

Le Macioche lies in the heart of Montalcino, one of Italy's most demanding wine-growing regions. Here, only Sangiovese Grosso—locally known as Brunello—grows on galestro and clay soils, which impart the wine's characteristic minerality and vibrancy. The DOCG regulations are strict, and Le Macioche adheres to them, fully realizing the potential of the vineyard.

In the glass, the wine shines a rich ruby red. The nose opens with aromas of plums and dried cherries, accompanied by juniper, earthy notes, and a hint of white musk. On the palate, it displays weight without heaviness: the tannins are silky, the fruit juicy, and the finish long and clean. A Brunello for patient drinkers—and for those who aspire to be.
