Laurenz V. Friendly Grüner Veltliner Dry

Laurenz V. Friendly Grüner Veltliner Dry
An uncomplicated Grüner Veltliner from Austria that lives up to its name: Friendly stands here for accessibility without compromising on character.
Behind Laurenz V. is an Austrian project that focuses on the country's classic lead grape variety. Grüner Veltliner is at home in Lower Austria – on loess and primary rock soils, which give it its typical spice.
In the glass, the Friendly shows the varietal profile: white pepper, citrus zest, and a hint of green herbs. The acidity is lively but not sharp – the finish dry and pleasantly short. Not a wine that needs a lot of air, but one that convinces immediately after opening.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Pairs well with Wiener Schnitzel, asparagus dishes, goat cheese, or a simple risotto. Also a solid choice as an aperitif on warm evenings.

It began with an idea: to make Grüner Veltliner the world's great white wine variety. Lenz Moser V., scion of an Austrian winemaking dynasty, founded Laurenz V. in 2005 with precisely this goal [citation:3].
The winery passionately focuses on a single grape variety. Wines from the Kamptal region bear the evocative names "Friendly", "Charming", and "L5" [citation:1][citation:2]. They are fruity, elegant, and possess that typical white pepper note that makes Grüner Veltliner so special [citation:10].
Laurenz V. is now at home in over 40 countries and has had a lasting impact on the Austrian wine world [citation:3]. A key to happiness? Just try it!
