La Motte Millennium

La Motte Millennium
A South African red wine with classic Bordeaux DNA: La Motte Millennium combines Merlot and Petit Verdot to create a full-bodied, structured cuvée from the Franschhoek Valley.
La Motte winery is one of the most traditional estates in the Cape region – its vineyards in the cool Franschhoek Valley, surrounded by the Hottentots Holland mountain range, yield grapes with pronounced aromatics and natural acidity. Petit Verdot is not used here as a supporting grape, but as an independent component that lends the wine depth and spice.
In the glass, the Millennium displays ripe raspberry and red plum from the Merlot, along with herbal spice and a hint of toffee, suggesting oak aging. The palate is juicy and full-bodied, the tannins are pleasantly integrated, and the finish is long.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Pairs well with grilled lamb loin , pot roast, or a flavorful hard cheese like Manchego. Opening the wine now will provide a ready-to-drink, pleasantly approachable glass without any waiting time.
